A Vintage Car, in the most general sense, is an old automobile. Certain makes of quality and sporting cars built in the years between 1930 and World War II are referred to as Post Vintage Thoroughbred. I chose my macro topic as Vintage Cars as it was fascinating to me. I wasn’t much aware about vintaged cars so I wanted to have a deeper look into it.

Target Audience

Rolls Royce (a story of perfection) is a coffee table book which will attract people who are fans of Rolls Royce cars. It will bascially be kept in the waiting lounges of the showrooms where people can have a look at the timeline of all the models of Rolls Royce till date; 2021.

SWOT analysis
Strengths:

Brand image :
Rolls Royce have always been strongly associated with quailty and performance and are the last word in luxury.

Skilled Workforce:
The company recurits people with a lot of attention and most of the employee who work with the Rolls Royce are highly skilled and qualified in their respective domain.

Superior Design:
Rolls Royce cars have perfected the art of the top class design in luxury cars and they are also expert in interior. The build quality is high and the engine chassis are also superior.

 

Opportunities:

Technology Savy Cars:
The technology in the automobile industry is growing and one of the biggest trends today are self drivers cars. This creates a new opportunity for luxury cars like Rolls Royce.

Customisation: 
Customers are willing to pay a price for the car they want. This will create growing need for personalised cars an opportunity that Rolls Royce can easiy take.

Focus on low cost, green and hybrid vechicles:
The increased focus on the green and hybrid vechicles may be a great opportunity for higher end vechicles manufacturers and established car brands like Rolls Royce

Weaknesses:

Status Symbol:
Rolls Royce is perceived as a luxury brand and people associate it with high status and dignity. It is perceived as a rich mans vechicle and thus seen as unaffordable for lower clasees.

Evolutionary Design:
Rolls royce have Evolved over time and thus the various cars like clones of a single model.

Over Reliance on Repeat purchase:
Rolls Royce luxury cars that target a small group of customers and they depend on client loyalty and repeat business for their revenues.

Threats:

Focus on sustainability:
The world is having serious concerns about sustainable transportation options since the current vechicle system is not environment savy.

Increased Competiton:
Rolls Royce faces competiton from brnads like BMW, Mercerdes Benz, Audi and Lamborghini.

Growing cost:
Raw materials costs are on the rise and so are the fuel costs. Research on future vehicle options is expensive as well.
